Breton Remixed By Busy P, Band's Tour Underway & KEXP Live Session

Arriving just in time for Breton's return toNorth AmericaEd Banger impresario and world renowned producer and DJ Busy P has dropped a remix of the UK band's track "Governing Correctly." The aptly titled "Governing Correctly (Busy P Dub)" can be heard over at Soundcloudhere: http://soundcloud.com/bretonlabs/governing-correctly-busy-p-dub

Busy P's remix will serve as the b-side to Breton's new single, the non-album track, "Population Density," which will be released digitally in the U.S. nextTuesday, September 11 on FatCat Records. The single will be accompanied with a video that will also be released next week. "Governing Correctly (Busy P Dub)"strips the song of its vocals, extends it a couple minutes and turns it into a dark, hypnotic electro house track.

Breton kicked off their first-ever North American headline tour last night in D.C. and will perform tonight at the North Star Bar in Philadelphia. They will headline theBowery Ballrom in NYC tomorrow night, September 6 and earlier in the morning perform a live session at KEXP's The Cutting Room Studios at 12 pm EST, which can be heard online at KEXP.org. The tour will then head to BostonMontreal,Toronto and Chicago before making its way west for shows in PortlandSeattle,San Francisco and Los Angeles. Full tour routing is below.

Last month, UK beat maker Lapalux transformed Breton's haunting, atmospheric track "The Commission" for his "Aquatic Centre Mix." The remix, which sounds like if the original had been plunged deep underwater, premiered at XLR8R.com where it is available for exclusive download. "Synth notes bubble up, deep pads surge like currents, and robotic vocal samples rock to the epp and flow of Lapalux's slow-paced beat," they exclaimed. The remix is from Breton's forthcoming remix record while the original version of "The Commission" hails from the band's debut LP, Other People's Problems, which was released in April on FatCat Records to rave reviews from both sides of the pond.
