(Raceland, LA) Southern Louisiana's Ben Labat and the Happy Devil have announced their newest studio album The Revival due for release on October 16, 2012. The band comprised of Ben Labat (vocals, guitar, piano), David Guidry (bass guitar), Dave Arcement (drums and percussion) and Jerry Martin (vocals, guitar, mandolin, dobro) put together a collection of songs reflecting their southern roots and culmination of lives that have been filled with love, loss, tragedy, triumph and passion. The debut single from the upcoming album also titled "The Revival" is now available for download HERE.

From early on it became evident that Ben Labat’s musical talent could not be ignored. As the lead singer/songwriter of the band, The Terms, Ben worked with iconic rock producer and Grammy winner Greg Ladanyi (Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, Don Henley) on their debut album. As a songwriter, several of Ben's songs have been featured on CBS’s "The Ghost Whisperer",  MTV's "The Real World" and "Jersey Shore", the Kevin Spacey produced film "Mini’s First Time", and "Middle of Nowhere" starring Susan Sarandon. Over the last several years, Ben has performed all over the US in the some of the most prestigious venues including The House of Blues and Tipitina's in New Orleans, New York City's Cutting Room, Los Angeles' Viper Room, The Exit in Nashville and has opened for Anders Osborne, Better than Ezra, Pat Green and The Iguanas among others.

Ben Labat and the Happy Devil came together in the summer of 2009 when four music lovers from South Louisiana coincidentally met and decided to try their hand at writing something both genuine and different. On any one of the songs on their debut album, A Face for Radio and their sophomore effort Soapbox Anthems, there are musical elements present ranging from reggae to country, pop to folk which comes from the band's appreciation and love for all modes of music. Their latest work, The Revival is a collective work reflecting the roller coaster they've been on in the journey of life.
