THE TREWS tour the Northeast in July

"The songs all creep up on you, rather than being over-the-top. What they will ensure is that you’ll want to go back and check them out again and again.”
Malcolm Dome, Classic Rock Magazine

THE TREWS return to the U.S. for a run of summer dates in July in support of their fourth full-length studio album, Hope & Ruin.

The Trews begin their mini-tour on July 18 at their familiar haunt, Artpark in Lewiston, where they’ve played multiple times to packed crowds in the thousands.  The quartet then head west to Wisconsin and Chicago before heading back east to Philadelphia, Asbury Park and finally up to New Hampshire to close out on July 27.

Hope & Ruin is a level-raising evolution for the Toronto-based rock band with two gold records, 13 top-10 singles and 900-plus concerts logged. Recorded live-off-the-floor, they captured lightning in a bottle, resulting in a sound that is raw, electric and igniting.

Current single ”One By One” has remained on the Triple A TOP 100 charts for over 10 weeks and the 12-song album has a feel that can only come from four guys that have played together for 14 years.

Of the release, The Aquarian Weekly raved, “It’s easy to get sucked into its vibe” whileTwangville calls Hope & Ruin, “A collection of rock anthems filled with blaring electric guitars and tight harmonies” and Metal Odyssey exclaims, "The Trews just don’t bang-it-out on this album, they play the song and take you on an escalator of Rock."

 ALTERNATIVE ADDICTION

“Eschewing anything indie or edgy, this Canadian quartet pounds out frills-free rock and power-pop with no pretensions… The songs are tough, the music is tight.”
— Hal Horowitz, CREATIVE LOAFING

"Two brothers, two guitars, two larger than life voices"
 AMERICAN SONGWRITER

“It is safe to say the crowd would have stood there and sung back all night if the band had played on. It’s hard to say they left them wanting more, as it’s hard to think of what more one could want in a rock ’n’ roll show.”
  Seamus Gallivan, BUFFALO NEWS

“Big riffs, bigger hooks, anthemic choruses-Canadian alt-rockers The Trews bring all of that and more”
