Stream The War On Drugs' New Album Via NPR Music & CBC Music

"this is highly emotional rock . . . It's evocative and pleasant if you let it float by in the background, but it's made with hooks that sink in deep if you give yourself over." - NPR Music

Back in December, rock 'n roll stalwarts The War On Drugs announced news of an impending release, Lost In The Dream, to an overwhelming response. Across the globe, it was immediately apparent people could not wait to hear what the band had in store for them following 2011's outstanding Slave Ambient and the all-encompassing live shows in support of that album. With this announcement, they shared new single, "Red Eyes," whetting fans' aural appetites and quickly gaining a slew of new admirers, and announced a North American tour, which is selling out all over the country. Finally, via NPR Music's "First Listen" and CBC Music's "First Play," the time has come for the world to begin absorbing the immensity of The War On Drugs' new record! As described so very well by Grantland"Dream demands to be heard - to blossom, even - in large rooms."

The War On DrugsLost In The Dream is out March 18th on Secretly Canadian. Next week kicks off the band's tour in support of the album and a run of promo, including performances and interviews on "Studio 360," WXPN's "Free At Noon," and KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic." For those looking to explore the story behind the new record, we recommend extensive profiles on Grantland and Stereogum.
