New DANKO JONES Biography, “Too Much Trouble” Hits Stores
on October 1st
DANKO JONES is set to release their latest
effort, Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue, in Europe next/this
week (and in the United States on October 9, 2012) and the band are giving fans
the chance to win something very, very special. The album will be released in
three formats – vinyl (of course!), super jewel case and a limited edition digipak.
Not only does the digipak feature a bonus track (“In Your Arms”), a couple of
stickers and a guitar pick from Dunlop, but anyone purchasing it automatically
enters a competition with the ultimate prize for any fan. In ten copies of the
digipak lies a gold printed guitar pick and anyone lucky enough to find one
will be guaranteed a lifetime of free entry to any DANKO JONES headlining
shows anywhere across the world. Pretty sweet, huh?
The first single, ‘Just A Beautiful Day’, is currently
making waves on radio stations around the globe and a video directed by the
Diamond Bros was shot in New York just a few days ago. We will keep you posted
on the video but for now we would like to remind you that the single is still
available for free download atwww.dankojones.com where you can also find more info
on the competition, a full list of tour dates and links to buy the album.
A new album sampler was posted earlier this week at www.youtube.com/user/dankotv.
The sampler discusses the new track ‘Legs’.
Danko himself is keeping busy as well with the latest
episode (#28) of his podcast featuring none other than Henry Rollins. Click on

Add the DVD (“Bring On The Mountain”) released this summer
and the biography (“Too Much Trouble: A Very Oral History of Danko Jones”) set
to be released on ECW Press in early October and it makes for a quite an
eventful year for both the man and the band. No less than you would expect for
an outfit frequently labeled the hardest working band around though.
DANKO JONES recently announced U.S. performance
dates! The band will be stopping in Phoenix, AZ on September 26th at
Pub Rock (sponsored by KUPD) and another stop in Las Vegas, NV at the House of
Blues on September 27th, both stops including performances by Hoobastank and Hyro
da Hero. Visitwww.dankojones.com to
keep up with any updates on these performances.
