Last week saw the release of PRONG's highly
anticipated new album Carved Into Stone, via Long
Branch Records. Carved Into Stone landed spots on
three of Billboard's Charts for last week. The album placed at #13 on the
Heatseekers Chart, #44 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart and #56 on the
Independent Albums Chart.
In other PRONG news,
the band has confirmed a string of shows this summer providing direct support
to Maryland hard rockers CLUTCH. The tour is set to kick off July
11th in Fayetteville, Arkansas and is scheduled to wrap up on
July 22nd in Richmond, VA.
The band recently filmed a video for the song
"Revenge...Best Served Cold"; it was directed by Scott Hansen
(Unearth, Whitechapel, Wretched).
PRONG worked on their Long Branch Records
debut with producer Steve Evetts. PRONG (whose lineup
includes bassist Tony Campos and drummer Alexei Rodriguez) has taken a major
step forward in their constantly evolving brand of sonic schematics.
Carved into Stone is quintessentially PRONG.
It stretches into the band's earliest and dirtiest foundations on which the
band was founded on New York's Lower East Side to the present as a staple of
today's post-metal and rock scenes.
