Pickathon Adds Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, Todd Snider, Bombino and More; Reveals Food and Drink Lineup!

INTRODUCES FOOD, BEER, CIDER AND WINE OFFERINGS FOR 2012 FESTIVAL;

AUGUST 3-5 AT PENDARVIS FARM IN PORTLAND, OREGON

 

As we approach the 14th annual Pickathon, happening August 3 - 5 at Pendarvis Farm on the outskirts of Portland, we're happy to say that we still have a few tricks up our sleeve. Attendees and bands alike have come to expect a diverse and meticulously curated lineup, as well as amenities unlike any other festival in the country, and we have the honor of delivering that year after year. Although we're sad to say Vieux Farka Touré and CW Stoneking have had to cancel their appearances, Pickathon is pleased to announce the addition of five new performers to the already-stacked bill: Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, Bombino, Todd Snider, Casey MacGill, and The Cactus Blossoms. As you can see, Pickathon's list of musical acts is sure to satisfy all sorts of appetites. As for food, this year's lineup is shaping up to be as tasty as the roll call of performers!

Amongst the six stages spread out over 80 acres, Pickathon also hosts three unique beer, wine, and cider gardens. The Mountain View, Woods Stage, and Galaxy Barn Gardens will all serve a variety of either Widmer Brothers Brewing or Hopworks Urban Breweries'finest suds, while all three will carry Evolution Red and White Wines and Wandering Aengus Ciders. Non-alcoholic beverages will include Townshend's Tea Company, Kure Fresh Juices, and Spunky Monkey Coffee. Additionally, all three gardens will featureunique handmade bars produced from locally harvested lumber and created by collaboration between Green Hammer and Urban Timberworks.
