Tennis Adds Summer Tour Dates, Morning Becomes Eclectic Airs Tomorrow, Young and Old Out Now On Fat Possum Records

Denver-based Tennis will set off on their summer U.S. tour with Sharon Van Etten starting on July 31 in Toronto including a performance at Outside Lands, a solo date at Troubadour in Los Angeles and a performance at Pygmalion Festival.  Also, Tennis will perform on the KCRW program “Morning Becomes Eclectic” on May 23. Since the release of their sophomore album Young and Old, the band has performed on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Last Call with Carson Daly”. Young and Old, out now on Fat Possum Records, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseeker Chart#1 on CMJ Top 200, where it remained for three weeks in a row and toppedSoundscans “New Artist Chart” for nine consecutive weeks after debuting at #1. Their music has been featured in television programs “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Revenge” and “The Secret Circle” and is featured in Tory Burch and Marc Jacobs online promotions.

For their new album guitarist Patrick Riley, vocalist Aliana Moore and drummer James Barone headed to Nashville to work with The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney. Carney noted  “I am really proud to say I worked on the new Tennis album. I think they are a really talented band, and it’s exciting to work with a band whose trying to move forward. Patrick, Alaina and James have great ideas—everything really comes together on this record.”
