Neon Indian Launches PAL User Initiative, Asks Fans To Submit Their Own Material

VISIT THE PAL USER INITIATIVE FOR DETAILS: http://paluserinitiative.neonindian.com/

So you've obtained a PAL 198X. We are holding a "contest" for you. The purpose of this challenge is to reward owners of the PAL 198X who are using it to its intended potential. I am giving you the chance to document this said use in an original track and submit it to the our databases for a chance to immortalize it. The winner will have their track pressed onto its own limited 7-inch vinyl only release on Static Tongues. It can be any variety of music (or non-music) as long as its completely made by you. The B-side of this disc will couple your track with my own contribution in a series of drone and percussive lock grooves generated by the PAL as open source sample material for producers and enthusiasts alike. If at this moment you're asking yourself "why am I not holding one?" or "who am I?.." fret not; Bleep Labs is manufacturing a limited run for you, which can be pre-ordered here. As an additive tool to get you started, Bleep Labs is also distributing a new ribbon controller add-on. Begin booting your imagination, we WILL take creativity of use into consideration. A video of your resourceful hacking, virtuosity, or just plain oddness can be documented and submitted along with your track. At least a photo of your PAL with your production handle and track name written next to it will be required to confirm ownership. Add the video and include your photo as the track artwork on the SoundCloud upload page. Submissions will be accepted until July 20th, 2012. I'll hand-pick the winner the first week in August. In short, if this mere electrical device managed to be the catalyst for a positive, creative experience in you, I should be so lucky as to help get the results out there.
