Paper Diamond is the newest edition to Diplo's
Mad Decent label, with his brand of music fitting in nicely with
his new label mates Major Lazer, Crookers and Rusko,
among many others. The EP entitled Wavesight is
released today, May 3, and showcases Paper Diamond's talent
for incredible bass / electronic / hip-hop styles.
Colorado native Paper Diamond has an
extensive background in making beats that are a blend of hip-hop, bass
music, electro, all with a whiff of ganja smoke blowing through it. He has
a kind of raw energy and dramatic anticipation that only a seasoned
producer can incite. His new EP Wavesight features
three heavy-hitting original tracks that further demonstratePaper
Diamond's musical versatility.
Wavesight features a collaboration
with Nasimiyu, a singer songwriter based out of New
Orleans, on the track "Turn The Lights Off," which
will also be the first video - stay tuned for that release soon! Her
original music is a mix of rootsy folk, funk, and forward-looking
contemporary soul, and her energy lends itself perfectly to Paper
Diamond's uplifting tune.
Wavesight is merely a taste of what Paper
Diamond has in store. You can expect a slew of new music releases,
collaborations, videos, and tour dates in the near future.
Tracklisting
1. Turn The Lights Off Feat. Nasimiyu
