"We are excited to announce that our first album Dying Remains will be available through our original  label Peaceville," said guitarist/vocalist Dave Gregor. "It's been 20 years since it first was released, and  after listening to the music and reliving the moment we had to start re-learning some of those songs and to celebrate what we have recorded.  So it was a treat for us to re-master this album that was such a paramount time in our lives. I hope the fans enjoy this as much as we have and thanks to the label for helping us in this venture"

Morta Skuld formed in Milwaukee, Wis. in 1990, going on to release three albums on Peaceville Records (initially via legendary sub-label Deaf Records) in the early-mid 90's. The band brought a refreshing blend of heavy and brutal death and doom along with more atmospheric and melodic elements instead of straight forward fast and brutal death metal releases prevalent in the U.S. scene at the time, an element which helped to distinguish them from many of their peers. Morta Skuld was highly acclaimed and played with such bandsObituary, Death, Deicide, Napalm Death, Fear Factory, and Cannibal Corpse.
