The Lower 48 to release "Everywhere To Go" on November 3, 2009!

The Lower 48 are a new band comprised of an eclectic blend of classically trained musicians, singer-songwriters and a smoky-voiced female vocalist. Their debut EP, Everywhere To Go is a five-song EP recorded and produced by Chad Weis of The Devil’s Workshop Studio (known best for his work with Mason Jennings, The Bad Plus, and Haley Bonar) in Minneapolis. It is an ambitious and mature debut release for the band’s young musicians, all of whom are under 20.

Since the band’s founding in January 2009, The Lower 48 has earned a reputation for crafting catchy, yet intelligent folk-rock through a series of haunting performances. Everywhere To Go captures the wistful spirit of The Lower 48’s live show while showcasing the musicianship of its members.

“These songs are about a time in life when you know you have a lot to look forward to, but you don’t know exactly what it is,” says Braden. “Part of that means looking back too. We want people who hear these songs to feel all of that hope and melancholy wrapped up together.”
