Municipal Waste Tour Line-Up Changes

THE ACCUSED Drop Off Municipal Waste Tour

A recent message from Seattle punk/metal monarchs, THE ACCUSED: "The members and crew of THE ACCUSED wish to say, 'Thanks!' to all the loyal, diehard Splatter Heads we got to play for and hang out with during our recent western US tour which began late September and wrapped up October 18th in Santa Cruz, CA.

THE ACCUSED would also like to give a special toast to all the new Splatter Heads just joining us! Welcome aboard, folks! You now have Martha Splatterhead on your side, and that's much better than having her as an enemy -- believe us!

ALSO: A very important update regarding the Municipal Waste 2009 tour. Due to scheduling conflicts THE ACCUSED were forced to drop off as support act during one leg of the Municipal Waste US/Canadian tour in November. Other regions with other support acts on the Municipal Waste headlining tour are unaffected as far as we know. A replacement act to fill the void left by THE ACCUSED is pending.

Lots of projects under way at Splatter Headquarters in Seattle! Now is a pretty damned good time to be a Splatter Head, let's just put it that way! Until we meet again, you crazy fuckers, Cheers! If It Don't Splatter, it DON'T FUCKIN' MATTER!"

THE ACCUSED's latest full-length, The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead, is out now on Southern Lord Records. The record was produced by Billy Anderson at Seattle's Soundhouse Recording Studio. The Curse of Martha Splatterhead features 14 tracks of brutal splatter rock mayhem chock full of the band's trademark buzzsaw-guitar riffs and manic, glass-shard-swallowing vocals!

"...a quick, blood-soaked trip down memory lane, and a reminder that Cobain wasn't always the goriest story out of the Northwest." -- Decibel

"...THE ACCUSED continues to do what they have always done so well -- thrash like their lives depended on it and smile through the bloodshed." -- Outburn

"A fine display of filth-ridden, crusty, graveyard crossover if ever there was one, The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead is one of those records that all the thrash/crossover toddlers out there (I’m looking at you, Municipal Waste) could take a few lessons from." -- Sonic Frontiers

MUNICIPAL WASTE have announced that The Accused will not be taking part in the WASTE THE WORLD TOUR 2009 as their singer Brad Mowen has to have emergency surgery. Not to worry though the WASTE have announced a replacement for The Accused. Minneapolis' Off With Their Heads will join the tour on November 18th– December 2nd and will be providing direct support for MUNICIPAL WASTE.

Singer Tony Foresta had the following to say about the line-up change for the tour, “We're pretty bummed about the Accused canceling I really hope Brad gets better. But now The WASTE is really excited to announce our newest addition to our North American tour, Off With Their Heads. These guys are one of my personal favorites and I feel are one of the best punk bands to come out of the states for a long while. We've been listening to these guys in the WASTE van for some time and we are really glad they agreed to "stick out like a sore thumb" on our metal tour. It should be a lot of fun! Check them out here...

Following their round of European festival appearances and their MASSIVE AGGRESSIVE European tour this September, MUNICIPAL WASTE will be seeing out the year with a North American trek, then having a few weeks rest before kicking off the European leg of their tour in mid-January. Support on the North American leg of the tour will come from GOATWHORE (11/06 TO 11/16), OFF WITH THEIR HEADS (11/18 TO 12/02), BRUTAL TRUTH (12/4 TO 12/11), PHOBIA & CAULDRON, with VICTIMS and REPROACH supporting the band in Europe.
