London wunderkind Jamie T lays his sophomore album, Kings & Queens, at the feet of US audiences today, October 6th. Kings & Queens is Jamie's first album since his '07 debut Panic Prevention, which was widely acclaimed on both sides of the Atlantic: he won Best Solo Act at the NME Awards and was nominated for one of the the UK's most prestigious music awards, The Mercury Prize. US critics threw around phrases like “genius,” “innovative,” “real deal,” “enthralling,” and “all time great British debuts.”
MTV2 and MTV Hits has begun to air Jamie's new video, “Chaka Demus.” MySpace.com has a New Release Feature on Kings & Queens today, and radio stations from East Coast (WEQX) to West Coast (KROQ) are starting to add the first single “Sticks ‘N' Stones” into rotation.
