Mass Shivers announce their second U.S. tour in support of their sophomore album, Ecstatic Eyes Glow Glossy (Sick Room Records). Recorded with Blue Hawaii (aka Griffin Rodriguez of Icy Demons and Need New Body) at Shape Shoppe, Ecstatic Eyes Glow Glossy is a rock album filled with classic rock grit -- colorful, lean and crisp guitar leads, layered feedback drones and groove shaking riffs.
While the Chicago group remains a tight trio at their core, Mass Shivers' are often joined by friends and collaborators, including Michael Columbia on "Mossy Nethers". At hometown shows, drummer Sean Wilke's propulsive throb is augmented by Dylan Ryan on a second kit whenever possible-- a lightning to his thunder, for all you wizards out there. Additionally, Sean and Mass Shivers' guitarist/vocalist Brett Sova moonlight with fellow Chicagoans Bronze and have previously performed with AZITA as house band to Drag City's "The People Under The Stares" comedy review.
2008 sees Mass Shivers self-releasing Ecstatic Eyes Glow Glossy on vinyl in March. Plans are in place for the band to return to the studio to begin work on a third album later this year.
