Montreal's Islands hitting the Jacksonville, FL

Montreal's own Islands are touring in support of their latest release, Vapours (Anti-, 9/22), and they're hitting Jacksonville on 9/27 at Jack Rabbit's. This will be their first full headlining tour behind the release of the LP, and these dates will also mark the first for the band with former Islands/Unicorns man Jamie Thompson back in the gang. Vapours is getting strong notice, and the reconstituted band are sounding stronger than ever, mixing their brand of skewed pop and swirling psychedlia, with a more synthetic approach to production. The results have shown Vapours to be the bands most interesting record yet.
