BAD VEINS TEAMS UP WITH THE SUBJECTS FOR CO-HEADLINING DAYTROTTER- SPONSORED TOUR
LOS ANGELES, September 16, 2009 - Bad Veins have been infecting the country with their fuzz-filled symphonic arrangements all summer long, introducing audiences to the irresistible melodies found on their self-titled debut released by Dangerbird Records. The dynamic duo of Benjamin Davis (vocals, guitar, keys) and Sebastien Schultz (drums), currently out with label mates Division Day, will embark on a national co-headlining tour with The Subjects, to be sponsored by the revered indie-music session hub, Daytrotter.com. The journey will kick off October 5 in Pittsburgh following a hometown headline show in Cincinnati October 3.
Daytrotter's commitment to this tour is the direct result of seeing Bad Veins live years ago and instantly becoming fans. "This is a great bill that everyone needs to see and hear," explains Sean Moeller, Daytrotter's founder. Moeller and co.'s Peel session-esque site has served close to 8 million free downloads. The site's purpose as he puts it, is to "work with great bands who we believe in and record them to magnetic tape using old machines." Special, limited edition hand-screened tour posters featuring both of these bands will be on sale at the shows.

Bad Veins' first radio track, "Gold and Warm," was singled out in Spin magazine as one of September's "Songs You Must Hear Now!," praising the boys for flipping, "Pavement's slacker racket into mainstream magic."
The band's non-traditional live set-up of telephones, megaphones and a vintage reel-to-reel player named "Irene," have garnered them much attention, but it's their undeniable songwriting chops that have made them truly stand out. Or as MTV succinctly put it: "The band's secret is Davis' knack for writing yearning, fuzzed out pop songs that straddle the murky divide between glum rockers the National and the nervous energy of the Strokes."
