Peter Gabriel’s Real World Records announced today that they have licensed the latest CD VENUS ON EARTH

by Los Angeles-based Cambodian rock band Dengue Fever from M80 Music in all territories outside the US and Canada.

All details are below including an astounding number of tour dates in Europe and the US this Summer including high profile festivals such as Roskilde, Glastonbury and WOMAD. Additionally, Dengue Fever announced today a headline date at ICA in London November 20 to follow up very successful debut in England just a few weeks ago. Tickets can be purchased here:

Venus on Earth is Dengue Fever’s third full-length record and was released Tuesday in Europe and is available in all territories outside the United States and Canada. The Real World version of Venus will feature a previously unreleased live radio track of “One Thousand Tears of a Tarantula”, recorded March 3 at World Café from National Public Radio in Philadelphia. It is distributed by Proper Distribution (

Fresh on the heels of Dengue Fever’s first live dates in England and Holland just a few weeks ago, the band also announced today that they will headline the Institute of Contemporary Arts aka I.C.A ( in London on November 20. Fans of Dengue Fever will be able to interact with the band more easily this Summer. Real World Records has set up an online remix competition for the track “Tiger Phone Card” off Venus On Earth here: Additionally, Dengue Fever’s You Tube channel ( has just launched. Currently featuring the bands latest video for “Seeing Hands”, the site will soon feature short films the band has created throughout the years, a trailer for their upcoming documentary release Sleepwalking Though The Mekong and live never-before-seen videos from recent tour stops.

Dengue Fever is Cambodian songstress Chhom Nimol, Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (Farfisa), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (sax). The band’s music has been featured in a number of film and television shows including CITY OF GHOSTS, MUST LOVE DOGS, BROKEN FLOWERS and twice on Showtime’s hit series, WEEDS. They have released three albums, Dengue Fever, Escape From Dragon House and the recently released Venus On Earth. They are based in Los Angeles, California.
