MATT NATHANSON has announced dates for his upcoming headline tour. Kicking off in Cleveland, OH on September 27th, this 6-week trek will take MATT NATHANSON across the country before wrapping in Los Angeles on Nov 3rd. The acclaimed singer/songwriter is hitting the road to promote his new album, Some Mad Hope on August 14th on Vanguard.

In many ways, Some Mad Hope is Nathanson’s most fully realized work to date. He balances his intensely personal worldview with engaging character studies. This record solidifies his lyrical finesse set against a melodic canvas. Nathanson has amassed a large and loyal fan base through his engaging live shows and relentless touring as a solo artist and performing with such artists as John Mayer, Tori Amos and Guster. Paste Magazine citied, “His lush 12-string guitar, heartfelt vocals and sharp wit…a great representation of why we go to concerts in the first place.” (tour dates listed below). Along with the dates below, Matt will be playing a free show in his hometown of Boston at Copley Square in front of the historic Trinity Church on August 16th sponsored by WBOS.

The opening track and first single, “Car Crash” was recently the #1 Most Added song at Triple A Radio as well as featured “Single of the Week” on MYSPACE. The single is already on-air at over 30 stations, including format leaders such as, KFOG/San Francisco, WBOS/Boston, WXPN/Philadelphia, KPRI/San Diego, KINK/Portland, WRLT/Nashville and Sirius. Matt will also be featured in a campaign with Milk Rocks in schools across the country this September, where his face will be on over 50 million mike cartons in high schools across American. Students will enter to win one of five in-school performances by MATT NATHANSON.
