I'm From Barcelona will release "We're From Barcelona," the second single from their critically acclaimed debut album "Let Me Introduce My Friends" July 31, 2007. The single, which will be released digitally, includes the title track as well as the B-side Britney – in which the band pays tribute to Britney Spears.
The ensemble band (29 members, count em!) is scheduled to play their first ever US show at the legendary Lollapalooza festival in Grant Park, IL on Saturday August 4th Two additional shows follow in Brooklyn New York; JELLY NYC's Pool Party at McCarren Park Pool on August 5th and Southpaw on August 6th. Sirius Satellite Radio will be simulcasting live from the Southpaw gig, the concert will be air on 'Left of Center' Channel 26.
Fronted by Lundgren, I'm From Barcelona will bring their "kaleidoscopic pop" (Filter Magazine) to life with an effervescent live show. And everyone is invited to participate! I'm From Barcelona released their debut album "Let Me Introduce My Friends" on Mute in March 2007. Called "A brilliant pop record" by All Music Guide and given an 8.4 rating and "best new music" distinction by Pitchfork, even Rolling Stone calls "Let Me Introduce My Friends" "pretty damn charming."
