BEMF is a music passion project, co-owned, curated, and produced by Jen Lyon & Katie Longmyer, co-owners of MeanRed. Since its inception in 2008, #BEMF has established itself as Brooklyn's most influential genre bending musical event by bringing together fans from across the US to celebrate this city's electronic musical landscape proudly featuring both emerging and established artists from the boroughs and beyond sharing the same stage.

Produced by the always progressive MeanRed, #BEMF is rapidly becoming an NYC mainstay as a homegrown festival with an International audience. You can check out the recap video of last year's festival here.

About MeanRed:

As the world at large safely contemplates its existence via digital matrix and safety of its couch, MeanRed takes passion and activates it. We produce risk taking events, stellar shows in unexpected places, and are not only the hardest working music and lifestyle curators on the eastern seaboard, but also so cutting edge we're used to falling off....and liking it.

Working with city agencies to produce large-scale community events like Summerstage, to our labor-of-love community project BKLYN Yard on the Gowanus Canal, MeanRed makes ideas a reality and moves people multi-dimensionally.

You may have eaten tacos with us at our food truck festival PARKED!, sipped "rave juice" out of zip lock bags with us at an underground Chinatown dim sum restaurant-turned nightclub, tossed back artisanal beers with us at our Oktoberfest, or seen the breakthrough Summerstage performances of artists like The xx, Diplo, Santogold and Kid Cudi. We bring you closer to your favorite artists, push you into spaces you've never been before, and lead to you to a life filled with music, food, art and people you never knew existed. That "oh shit!" moment? That's MeanRed.
