Listen to new song "Its
Already After The End Of The World from
Diamond Terrifier here!
"'Aspirants! The Diamond Terrifier (aka Sam Hillmer of ZS) offers 'PRACTICE!', going on Tuesdays at Zebulon full of live and recorded sound, images, and serious frivolity. The night found it's prototype in December, much to the liking of audiences, and the New York Times, so it earned a name and will be happening with greater and greater frequency as Spring approaches. Each session of 'PRACTICE!' offers New York's highest attainers in the areas of making and spinning music. The atmosphere is casual, and people are encouraged to try things, but it's also a reliable early week party for those who were not ready for the weekend to end. Contrary to the insisting of a familiar pop-mantra, practice is not about perfection, at 'PRACTICE!' the path is the goal, and we hope yours leads you here!' - Sam Hillmer / Diamond Terrifier
In support of the recently announced monthly singles series, and upcoming debut full-length album out this September on Northern Spy Records, solo experimental saxophone project Diamond Terrifier (aka Sam Hillmer of New York avant-garde band Zs), has announced the new bi-weekly live music series PRACTICE! curated by Hillmer to take place at respected Brooklyn music venue Zebulon.
Taking place the 17th and 31st of this month, the first set of artists to join Hillmer's Diamond Terrifier on the bills include live performances from Hunter Hunt-Hendrix of Liturgy, LZA/Dutch E. Germ of Gang Gang Dance, Dan Friel, GDFX, and Rat Attack, as well as DJ sets from Laurel Halo, Chief Boima, The Oracle and more.
