Saddle Creek Update

I Am Gemini, the new full-length from Cursive, will be released on February 21. The record is available for pre order via Saddle Creek and iTunes. The Saddle Creek Online Store features 3 different bundles, one of which includes exclusive colored vinyl and a picture disc 10" with non-album tracks that is limited to 500 copies. Rollingstone.com premiered the first track from the record, "The Sun and Moon." The track is also available for posting via the embed code below. "The Sun and Moon" and feverish second album track "The Cat and Mouse" are now available via iTunes and Saddle Creek. Many new tour dates have also been announced. An unexpected reunion at a house that is not a home ignites a classic struggle for the soul, played out with a cast of supporting characters that includes a chorus of angels and devils, and twin sisters conjoined at the head. Cursive’s seventh full-length album, I Am Gemini, was recorded at Omaha’s ARC Studios with producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Minus The Bear, Isis) and mixed at Red Room in Seattle, WA. The album follows in the footsteps of four acclaimed, inventive predecessors –Cursive’s Domestica (2000), The Ugly Organ (2003), Happy Hollow(2006), and Mama, I’m Swollen (2009), which was praised by Alternative Press, Billboard, Playboy, Rolling Stone, and Time Out New York, among others. The band made their network television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman in March 2009, performing “From The Hips” off Mama. Icky Blossoms sign to Saddle Creek; Recording debut  album with TV On the Radio's Dave Sitek Saddle Creek is excited to announce the signing of Icky Blossoms. The band features Tilly and the Wall's Derek Pressnall, filmmaker/musician Nik Fackler, and vocalist Sarah Bohling. Icky Blossoms bloomed from the blizzards of 2011 in Omaha, NE. The band draws from old friendships, rhythmic experiments and a love for robust melodies to create music stretching from hazy pop to pulsing dance. The Mynabirds in the studio and on tour; Contribution to The 78 Project online now The Mynabirds are currently in the process of putting the finishing touches on their new album.
