ON TOUR NOW WITH ANTHONY GREEN IN SUPPORT OF THE
COLOR SPECTRUM
The official lineup for the 2012 Coachella Valley
Music & Arts Festival has been announced, and The Dear
Hunter is confirmed to make their debut performance at the annual
event! Not long after, the band will make a welcomed return to The
Bamboozle Festival, who released the lineup today. The Dear Hunter frontman
Casey Crescenzo will also perform at Bamboozle with his former band, The
Receiving End of Sirens, who is reuniting for a performance with the
original founding members.
The Dear Hunter is in the midst of a nationwide trek with Anthony Green (Circa Survive's frontman). The 5-week tour in support of The Color Spectrum follows the band's recent run with Manchester Orchestra. See below for more details.
Since the release of The Color Spectrum, fans of the genre-bending progressive rock band have been clamoring for a chance to hear the 2.5 hour opus in a live setting. On May 9, at theSomerville Theatre in Somerville, MA, the band will perform the entire work, in order, as anticipated by fans. Presale for this One-Night-Only event will begin Jan 23, via Ducat King, and will go on sale to the public January 28 through the Somerville Theatre and CQ Presents. Please visit TheDearHunter.com for more information.
The epic, 9-EP project The Color Spectrum claimed two separate spots on Billboard's"Heatseekers" chart upon its debut, with the complete collection reaching an impressive #9, and the 11-song CD version (featuring select music from each EP) debuting at #32. SPIN calls it "a sprawling, heady mix, merging some of the challenging piano work of latter day Ben Folds Five with a bit of Muse-y, glam rock melodrama." The limited edition vinyl box set sold out shortly after release, prompting the recent issue of a 3-disc CD box set. To date, The Color Spectrum has sold over 10,000 copies, with more than half of those being the deluxe box set.
The Color Spectrum consists of 36 songs inspired by the colors of the spectrum, specificallyRed, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet, with White and Black as bookends. It was written and recorded as Crescenzo traveled across the U.S., documenting every step of the process as he worked with several producers and musicians along the way, including Manchester Orchestra, Brendan Brown from The Receiving End of Sirens, Mike Watts (who has worked with As Tall As Lions and he mixed the band's Act III: Life And Death), and Steve Haigler (Brand New, As Tall As Lions, Quicksand). A DVD featuring over two hours of footage from this period is now available as part of the CD Box Set.

Thank you for every other fantastic article. Where else may anyone get that type of information in such an ideal means of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I'm at the search for such information.
