BUILT TO SPILL HIT THE ROAD FOR FIRST 2012 TOUR DATES

Built to Spill have confirmed their first tour dates for the New Year in support of the current Warner Bros. Records album, THERE IS NO ENEMY. Dates begin Feb 23rd in San Francisco.  All confirmed dates are listed below.

There Is No Enemy is the band's first album since 2006's You In Reverse. Previous studio albums include 2001's Ancient Melodies of the Future, 1999's Keep It Like A Secret, and their major-label debut, 1997's Perfect From Now On. In 2012 Built to Spill still remain an influential force in compositionally intelligent, lyrically thoughtful, melodic, guitar-centric rock music:

"Built To Spill CEO Doug Martsch is alt-rock's Thomas Pynchon, holed up in a remote studio and issuing immaculate artworks when he damn well pleases. Their components are all about simple, melodic beauty, writ large - prog rock for pop purists." - Rolling Stone

"Boise's answer to Crazy Horse...they still flourish."  - Spin

"Built To Spill has been leading the resurgence of indie-guitar rock virtuoso for 20 years now. Doug Martsch conducts an orchestra of feedback like a lightning god bringing the storm. As ever, Martsch proves capable of anthropomorphizing a bent string and imbuing it with more emotion than many bands' vocals and lyrics." - Alternative Press
