ROYAL BLOOD TO RELEASE SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM ON MONDAY, AUGUST 25 ON
WARNER BROS. RECORDS

STREAM NEW SINGLE "FIGURE IT OUT"

DUO RETURNS TO NORTH AMERICA TO KICK OFF TOUR ON JULY 15

UK duo Royal Blood (23 year-old vocalist/bassist Mike Kerr and 25 year-old drummer Ben Thatcher) will release their highly anticipated self-titled debut album in the U.S. on Monday, August 25th on Warner Bros. Records. The album will be available for pre-order in the U.S. beginning July 29th and will be released digitally, on CD and vinyl formats as well as an exclusive D2C package. The album's striking cover art was provided by Dan Hillier, an artist who is acclaimed for his black line work, combining Victorian sensibilities with a fascination for animal and landscape attributes with leanings towards the esoteric.

Last night, BBC's Zane Lowe premiered a brand new single from the forthcoming album entitled"Figure It Out" which is now available to stream HERE. Additionally, today the band revealed their Spotify exclusive "Sessions" Live EP, which features fourtracks from the upcoming album recorded earlier this year in New York City. The band will also be included in the developing artist program "Spotify Emerge" program.  Emerge uses technology to offer a unique insight into what could be the next big thing in music, by using Spotify's vast array of data to pinpoint ten emerging artists from the region, based on their virality (increase in streams and shares week on week). It is then put in the hands of music fans - through listening, liking, voting, and sharing - to determine who should win. Past participants have included Lorde, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and alt-J, before they became global success stories.

Royal Blood is a mixture of anguished vocals, ferocious drumming and bass that provides intricate detail as well as a rumble of rhythm. The duo's sound is a result of a lineage that stretches from present day heroes Queens of the Stone Age to the influential Led Zeppelin, and all the way back to early blues pioneers... yet this huge wall of sound emerges from just two men.  In next to no time, the two have earned critical praise following the release of their debut single "Out of the Black" on the band's own label Black Mammoth Records last year. Now signed to Warner Bros. Records in the U.S., the label released Royal Blood's debut EP Out of The Black EP on March 18th.

This past weekend Royal Blood had a breakout performance at Glastonbury Festival, performing for over 15,000 people. The Independent raved "the duo presented an hour-long master class in sliding guitar, thrashed drums and grizzly power chords." To watch footage from the set, click HERE. Royal Blood will return to North America later this month for an extensive run of live dates to kick off in Charlotte, NC on July 15th. While in the states, the band will also support Arctic Monkeys and Portugal. The Man and appear at Lollapalooza and Osheaga. Tickets for all headlining dates are available now. This Fall, the band will support The Pixies for 10 nights in the U.S. and Canada. See below for a complete list of announced live dates.

These upcoming dates follow the band's epic U.S. outing this past May, which included sold out shows at Glasslands in Brooklyn, Mercury Lounge in New York City (attended by Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page), and The Roxy in Los Angeles. Their impressive live show led Time Out New York to declare, "We predict things will escalate quickly for the Brighton Boys," while LA Record proclaimed "If you haven't heard of Royal Blood, wait a couple months and they will be the talk of every rock music circuit."

Royal Blood's remarkable breakthrough year commenced with a BBC Sound of 2014 and has continued with a succession of highlights including shows with Arctic Monkeys at Finsbury Park, a place on the NME Awards tour and a scintillating debut performance on Later... with Jools Holland. While in the states, the band also made their U.S. television debut with a resounding performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
