Listen To Wand's "Broken Candle" | Debut Album Out 8/26 On God? Records

WAND SHARES "BROKEN CANDLE"

DEBUT ALBUM, GANGLION REEF, OUT AUGUST 26TH

TOUR KICKS OFF SEPTEMBER 3RD

"Ganglion Reef is a teeming, dream-steeped smear of songs that shines with the bent light of a cracked prism. . . ['Broken Candle'] pounds with garage-rock power, even as it lulls the listener to some dark corner of melody and melancholy." - The A.V. Club [Premiere of "Broken Candle"]

"if lead track 'Flying Golem' - a supremely melodic number laced with fuzz-drenced '60s riffs - is anything to go by, they could even usurp Tame Impala's colourful throne while they're at it." - NME [Buzz Band of the Week]

"true to the album name, Wand's music sends a shock directly towards the nervous system. . . Though Wand skews more to the psych side of the divide, there's a sweetness buried beneath the distortion." - KUTX [Song of the Day]

"'Flying Golem' sounds like it's named after a Castlevania monster and rocks with a big, confident three-chord stomp." - Amoeblog

Already recognized by the NME as a "Buzz Band of the Week" and featured on one of Uncut's excellently-curated Playlists of 2014, new rock band Wand are turning heads leading into the release of expansive debut album, Ganglion ReefThis Los Angeles-based four-piece, comprised of Cory Hanson (vocals, guitar, synth),Evan Burrows (drums), Daniel Martens (guitar), and Lee Landey (bass), jam senses, sounds and vibes through the circuits - and like magic: create plays of light and dark (and heavy!) for today's (and tomorrow's) mind-ears. After sharing the slaying "Flying Golem," Wand offers the more melodic, but equally righteous"Broken Candle," premiered yesterday via The A.V. Club.

Ganglion Reef is out August 26th via GOD?, the Drag City imprint run by Ty Segall. They will support Ty on a slew of dates this fall, followed by a handful of headline shows.
