Meet Tassels, the electronic solo project of Vancouver
producer, Sean Orr. On his new LP Pressure Mounts, Tassels
combines pop, psych and house music amist a layer of fuzz, noise and
head nodding beats.
Tassels samples a myriad of genres on the new LP. On
the track "Warped", he incorporates a sample of the London
Simfonietta covering Steve Reich's violin phase as well as a sample of jazz
guitarist Lee Ritenour, then drowns it all in a layer of fuzz. Tassels never
wastes a moment for experimentation.
Pressure Mounts drops May 29 via Dallas
imprint, Pour Le Corps records (home to electronic gurus Xander Harris and
Eyes, Wings and Many Other Things). The new LP will be available digitally
and on limited edition cassette tape.
