Auto Body free EP download May 15th + Premieres "Holding Out" On Prefix

Conceived in and born from Austin's steamy underground houses of rock, Auto Body is the incarnation of a new brand of Indie Electro Fusion. Armed with a war chest of pounding beats, crunchy synths, dripping vocals, and irresistible melodies, the performance duo of vocalist/producer Thibault Bowman and keyboard wizard/live bassist Felix Moreno crusade the music landscape in search of the electronic Holy Grail...

Say What You Will marks a transformation for self-proclaimed digital blood brother's Thibault Bowman and Felix Moreno. One that took them from two kids getting fucked up in a South Austin garage making quirky, face-pounding beats until their ears bled to focused, manically driven song craftsmen in a Brooklyn basement wringing out broken hearts into the song machine to create something that can justify two years defined by shockingly similar personal losses. They will tell you they've survived because of each other, and because of the music they've created, but that survival was doubted many times in the dark valleys they treaded; sometimes alone, but never far from the other. The themes the two navigated in these five songs spin tales of death, pain-drenched love, loss, apathy, revenge, light, addiction, redemption, and vindication, but not necessarily in that order.

From the bouncing title track's Hot Chip via Yeasayer anthemic chant of "Say what you will but I'm not a killer, no!" to the fuming electro Brit-rock bravado of aching pounder "The Drop", it's clear that wings of sonic diversity have deliberately been spreading in the Auto Body camp since their debut EP Priest Party. And if the silky waves of vocal layers draped across growling synths in "Can't Forget You" incite flashes of Empire Of The Sun in a fist fight, while the spooky concussive steam engine of "Get Back" inspire an undeniably creepy adrenaline rush, and the swelling horns over gargling verses on "Holding Out" evoke a David Bowie vs. TV On The Radio underwater death match in David Byrne's living room...then you understand where this work is coming from.

In short, Say What You Will represents not just the sonic maturity of a pair of dangerous songsmiths, but the most personal music the two have ever written...

The self-released EP will be available for free download on May 15th. Banging release parties to follow in Chicago and Austin.
