White Arrows Rejoin The Naked And Famous For More Touring

 LOS ANGELES, December 5, 2011 - White Arrows have made fine touring companions for New Zealand's "it kids," the Naked and Famous - so much so, they will rejoin them for another round of dates across California. The two bands have enjoyed an extensive run across the U.S. this fall and are aptly matched in their infectious musical styles. NBC's SoundDiego called White Arrows, "a psychedelic pop act, but with just enough synthy weirdness to be the perfect warmer for the Naked and Famous."

 

White Arrows have made a name for themselves on the touring circuit alongside a bevy of revered acts, including Portugal. The Man, Cults, Those Darlins, Weezer, and of course, the above mentioned, to name a mere few. But these Arrows don't shoot straight, and their unique amalgamation of sounds has been gaining

recognition. "A lighthearted, happy-go-lucky sound that hopscotches between lo-fi, indie rock, and straight up electro pop," declared Nylon, while the Houston Press confessed, "their spacey electro is hard to pin down."

  

The band's latest 7", "Get Gone" (Ooh La La Records), "is a vibrating echo-y, 1980s sounding pop song that manages to be futuristic and melodic at the same time," opined The Wild Honey Pie. "The spastic blips that percolate between the drum samples and Schiff's baby-voiced diphthongs sound as thought hey were released into a small, enclosed space, left to forever bounce off the sides. It's sweetly psychedelic," they added.
