‘Nightmare Before X-Mas’ Charity Ball

8th Day Tattoo Gallery Presents ‘Nightmare Before X-Mas’ Charity Ball, Art and Film Fest in Historic 5 Points 8th Day Tattoo Gallery, a local tattoo shop in Jacksonville, will host the 5 Points ‘Nightmare Before X-Mas’ Charity Ball, Art and Film Fest at Fuel Coffee House to benefit local charity organizations. The event will be held on December 16th at 7 p.m. in partnership with the 5 Points Merchant Association. All proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots, Bosom Buddies and the Jacksonville Humane Society.
The evening line-up will feature short-films by 3M Productions, a comedy performance by Joel Land, a surprise musical guest, and silent auction. Various works of art by local artists will also be on display throughout the venue. Highlighted artists include: Jason Wright, Shawn Thurston, Nick Wagner, Kyle Miller, Rod Crews and many more. “It’s a wonderful feeling to bring the merchants of 5 Points together and give back to local organizations in Jacksonville during the holidays in ‘true 5 Points fashion.’ The area is home to many artists, including filmmakers and musicians so it’s known for the creative culture and artistic vibe. We want to welcome the residents of Jacksonville to come and enjoy an evening of fun while helping others within the community,” said Rod Crews, an organizer of the event. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume or masquerade in the style of ‘Nightmare Before X-Mas,’ a theme that brings Halloween back in the month of December. Complimentary food (provided by Raglands) and complimentary beverages will also be served. Raffle prizes donated by over 30 participating 5 Points merchants will be awarded throughout the night as well as free prizes that include a complete skateboard, gift certificates, paintings, a 6-foot Jack Skellington plush doll, and many more. In an effort to raise funds, the event will be $10 at the door or $5 with a toy. By attending, people can help 8th Day Tattoo Gallery and the 5 points Merchant Association’s endeavors to put a smile on a child’s face, support breast cancer research, and give aid to homeless animals this holiday season.
