Mason Proper video and Tour Update

“…reminiscent of the hazy art-rock of TV on the Radio”
Pitchfork

“…extremely catchy with tunes that immediately sink into your brain and stick with you for days on end.”
The Tripwire

My Old Kentucky Blog officially premiered the clip for Mason Proper’s slow-burning epic “Safe For The Time Being.” This is the second video the band has released from their sophomore album, Olly Oxen Free. A direct link to the video is available here - http://vimeo.com/5024158/

The video for the album’s first single “Lock & Key” was voted the #3 indie video of 2008 by MTV2’s Subterranean.

Mason Proper will also be joining Stellastarr* and Wild Light on a brief west coast tour later this Summer.

And if you didn’t check it out last time, the band recorded “Love Lockdown Gets Innocuous,” a cover song that mashes up elements of Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown” with LCD Soundsystem’s “Get Innocuous.”

Tour Dates with Stellstarr* and Wild Light:

Jul 30 - San Diego, The Casbah

Jul 31 - Los Angeles, The Troubador

Aug 1 - San Fran - Slims

Aug 3 - Portland - Doug Fir

Aug 4 - Seattle - Chop Suey
