PLAYBOY.COM UNCOVERED ANNOUNCES LINEUP

Playboy.com's exclusive new video series Uncovered, presented by Southern Comfort, will tap into musicians' mutual admiration by showing a wide range of artists paying tribute to the music that influenced them. And given that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they will also perform exclusive acoustic covers of those songs in some of the country's most legendary music venues and bars.

Dinosaur Jr. launches the series today with their take on The Cure's “Just Like Heaven.” In the first video of the series, Dinosaur Jr. band members J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph, who recently released their ninth album “Farm,” describe their first meeting with the iconic band and talk about their admiration for them, exclaiming, “We're way into The Cure!” and other such niceties. The launch video is now available at www.playboy.com/uncovered.

The Uncovered series will feature new videos, exclusively created for Playboy.com, on the second Tuesday of each month for 10 consecutive months. Featured musicians include well-known and emerging artists, such as Black Lips, A Camp, The Dears, Drive-By Truckers, and Phosphorescent.

The complete lineup, which will be available on Playboy.com on August 1, will include the following exclusive covers:

A Camp (Nina Persson of The Cardigans) performing “Psycho” by Leon Payne
Murray Lightburn of The Dears performing “Doctor Blind” by Emily Haines of Metric
Dinosaur Jr. performing “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure
Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers performing “Range War” by Todd Rundgren

Uncovered is one of the latest features on the recently redesigned Playboy.com, which offers an array of original content, images, and video; animation; and interactive, customizable content.
