"One could trace Rainbow Arabia's multifarious aesthetic to several origins, whether dancehall, '80s synth-pop, African highlife, Arabic disco, or any number of other realms, depending on the song snippet in question. In any case, the band's first full-length, Boys and Diamonds, renders discussions of genre pretty pointless—more than anything, it's a pop album, and a solid one at that." -XLR8R Magazine

"Boys and Diamonds, refines the duo's Middle Eastern buzzdrone and rhythmic jaggedness to a sleeker, ethereal dub-pop lope with Siouxsie-in-an-echo-chamber vocals." -The Stranger

"The Prestons have a genuine talent at blurring the lines and crafting music that doesn’t feel beholden to any one scene. It’s music for musicologists to be sure, but Rainbow Arabia never forget what’s important about pop music: put a smile on listener’s faces and a wiggle in their step." -FACT Magazine

"Their debut album is simply otherworldly, a real joy" -Loud & Quiet

"The West African guitar licks of the title-track wrap around an immediately satisfying sliver of electro-pop, while single Without You is a synth-smeared new wave gem that might have been plucked whole from a John Hughes soundtrack circa 1986." -BBC Music

"Their first full-length album (following two EPs) finds them settling into a well-developed and highly personal sound that draws from any number of exotic musical cultures without depending too much on any one of them. -All Music Guide
