DEBUT EP FROM BLUEBRAIN OUT NOW!!

Get a copy of Cult Following, the debut EP from Bluebrain now on iTunes or on the Lujo Store.

Bluebrain gracefully moves in and out of musical styles with a confidence few artists convey. Lyrical content varies from the fantastical to the macabre. Songs about obsessive behaviors, lucid dreaming, and yes--even organ harvesting-- go hand in hand with the unique sonics found on this their debut ep.

Bluebrain is the new project from brothers Hays Holladay & Ryan Holladay formerly known as The Epochs (Rebel Group). The guys have also remixed artists like Ra Ra Riot, Thrice and The Death
Set.

Here are a few things the press have been saying about Bluebrain:

Once Bluebrain took the stage, however, they settled in behind brilliant azure podiums and began to play through the material from their forthcoming debut album, weaving the tracks together and enveloping the audience in the kind of aural experience that made me send this text to a friend: these guys are going to be so fucking famous. And they had some pretty awesome video to back their tracks. Bottom line: it was a free show, and I'd totally have paid for it. My text message stands. Go see Bluebrain.

A little genealogy this morning: Bluebrain sprang from The Epochs, a brotherly duo who's remixed Ra Ra Riot and shared the stage with Spank Rock, Lady Sovereign and The Walkmen. Below, two wildly different tracks, both chock-full of pop-rock goodness from their upcoming EP, out on Lujo Records in November. "Cult Following" is all stadium sing-a-long and tweaker hooks, while "Bring Out Your Dead" is the type of gauzy, underwater song that fits between Massive Attack and LCD Soundsystem on your babymaking playlist (yes, you have one).
