BRUTAL GWAR B-Q & BREW w/ ODERUS URUNGUS ANNOUNCED

FOR AUGUST 3^rd IN TAMPA, FL

Everyone's favorite alien overlord and lead-throat thing of GWAR, Oderus Urungus, will take a brief break from his arctic slumber to get "fucked up with the fans" for the debut of the "GWAR-B-Q Beer". The beer was created from a recipe by Rob Chalmers especially for the upcoming GWAR-B-Q (August 17^th in Richmond,VA). But as a special treat for the fans Oderus himself will be travelling (via bat-shaped helicopter, of course...) to Ybor City, Florida to officially debut the brand-new, mind-altering product.

"This is another milestone on the road leading to the GWAR-B-Q, the new GWAR album, and the brand-new GWAR show we will be putting on tour this fall," said the hardest-partying front-creature in rock. "I am looking forward to meeting with the fans, getting incredibly wasted, and then vomiting all over them. Then we will sell that!"

The event, which is presented by GWAR, Cigar City Brewing, Crowbar Live and DMD will feature free samples of the all new "GWAR B-Q Beer" as well as Brutal Burgers topped with GWAR-B-Q Sauce.

"Next product? GWAR meat!" said Oderus.

Admission to the event is five dollars at the door. The first fifty fans wearing GWARgear or attire will be admitted free. In addition to the guzzling and the gorging, the event will also feature live music from GWAR ATTACK, (GWAR cover band), American Fix, Black Tides Roll and Doom Wolf. The event is 18 and up. As Oderus mentioned, this crazed event is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what is being called (by us) the "Slave-Pit Summer". The main event, of course, is the 4^th Annual GWAR-B-Q, presented by Ring-Dog Rescue and Slave Pit Inc., and backed up by the fine folks at Brown's Distributing. This is slated to take place Saturday August 17^th in Richmond, VA at Hadad's Lake Water Park. With acts like GWAR, Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer, and the re-union of the legendary X-Cops, this years' bill is possibly the greatest yet assembled in the blood-spattered history of GWAR's ever-expanding festival. Finally, in other GWAR news, the band is getting ready to spill the beans on many details regarding their eagerly anticipated new record and show, which will be released in early fall. This album is the first to feature new guitarist Pustulus Maximus, who travelled through space and time to lay claim to the crown left behind by departed Scumdog immortal, Flattus Maximus. More details including artwork, tracklisting and the first song from the album will be unveiled in the coming weeks. A huge fall headline tour is in the works as well; so get ready for the return of the most outrageous band in rock and roll history.
