COLDPLAY TO GIVE AWAY LIVE CD TO FANS ATTENDING SUMMER TOUR DATES

Coldplay will be giving away an exclusive live CD, titled LeftRightLeftRightLeft, to all fans attending the Viva La Vida summer tour beginning May 15th, the first date of the band's North American tour and at every remaining live show in 2009. The CD will also be available as a free download during the same time period through their website http://www.coldplay.com.

"Playing live is what we love," says Coldplay. "This album is a thank you to our fans - the people who give us a reason to do it and the people who make it happen."

Supporting seven-time GRAMMY® winner Coldplay on the North American tour dates will be Pete Yorn (May 15-June 4), Snow Patrol (June 5-21), Amadou & Mariam (July 10-24), Elbow (July 25-August 9), Howling Bells (May 15-21) and Kitty Daisy & Lewis (July 10-August 9). See below for a full itinerary.

The video for Coldplay's latest single from Viva La Vida, "Life In Technicolor ii," has been added at MTV, MTV2 (in Elite 8 rotation), mtvU, MTV Hits and FUSE. Released in June 2008, Viva La Vida charted at No. 1 in 36 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, and was the Top Selling Global Album of 2008 according to IFPI, the body that represents the recording industry worldwide. It is also the top-selling digital album in SoundScan history.
