Drug Rug formed in 2006 as an alternative rock/country project between couple Tommy Allen and Sarah Cronin. Their eponymous debut garnered tremendous critical praise receiving 4 & 5 star reviews in Fader and Bust, and features in Spin, and The New Yorker. Since it's release the band has toured with the likes of The Fiery Furnaces, Los Campesinos & The Long Blondes.

With their revolving door tendency for backing-band musicians; Drug Rug's live shows and recordings often feature exciting guests from members of Tulsa, Apollo Sunshine, The Dead Trees and others.
2009 Will bring about an EP titled The Kitchen Tapes and full length sophomore album this Summer.
