Mindless Self Indulgence formed in New York City in 1997 and quickly made their mark with an indefinable hybrid sound that portended a lot of rock music to come. MSI has released four studio albums to date, cracked the Top 5 on Billboard’s Dance chart seven times (with four #1’s) performed with the likes of Rammstein, The Dresden Dolls and System of a Down, and maintains a devout global fan base through constant international touring and energetic live performances.
Following the success of 2008’s If which hit #27 on the Billboard Top 200, MSI decided to seize control of their future and go indie. In 2012 they funded the recording of How I Learned… by launching their first Kickstarter campaign, which became the second most successful music campaign in the platform’s history. Fans who helped fund the making of How I Learned… will be rewarded with its first copies in March. The album will then only be available for purchase at shows on their upcoming U.S. tour, after which an official retail date will be determined.
MSI plans to tour the world in support of How I Learned To Stop Giving A Shit And Love Mindless Self Indulgence for the entirety of 2013 and beyond.
