(NEW YORK, NY March 5, 2009) – With her act on the road again in the midst of her 50-city sold out world headline tour, Grammy nominated Capitol Records break through artist KATY PERRY, 2008’s most-noted, most-discussed and most-danced-to new artist, extends her remarkable track record at full force, well into 2009.

As "Thinking of You," the newest single from the album, bullets in the Top 20 of both Mainstream Top 40 and Hot AC formats, Perry’s debut album ONE OF THE BOYS has earned RIAA platinum certification for U.S. sales in excess of 1 million copies, enjoying a rebound into the national Top 30, eight full months after its No. 9 Billboard Top 200 debut.

In singles sales, Perry is the only artist to have more than one single certified at triple-platinum level or more in the last 12-month period, with the phenomenal seven-week U.S. No. 1 debut "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot N Cold" which has surpassed "I Kissed A Girl" in digital sales.

In total worldwide sales, Perry’s album has sold over 2 million copies and individual tracks are approaching the 14-million mark, with multi-platinum certification in five international markets and gold/platinum in seven more for "I Kissed a Girl;" multi-platinum sales in Canada and New Zealand and gold/platinum in eight additional markets for "Hot N Cold." ONE OF THE BOYS has achieved platinum certification in Australia, Canada, Ireland and U.K., and gold sales in nine other international markets. Perry was recently named Best International Female Solo Artist at the prestigious Brit Awards.
