Before the band heads out on the tour, which begins on October 2nd in San Diego and wraps in Santa Cruz on November 8th, they will be hitting all three stops of Riot Fest. New Found Glory walked into the studio to record Resurrection with the all of the album tracks already written, which was a new and invigorating starting point for the band. "This is the most prepared we've ever been," lead guitarist and vocalist Chad Gilbert notes."Writing as a band now has never felt so easy. We really came together with ideas. We've gone through a lot and figured a lot of things out. This album has been very cathartic for us."

Resurrection is an expression of the overall human experience and what it means to take the cards you're dealt and move on in a positive way. Lead vocalist Jordan Pundik remarks, "We've always been a band that has written about life experiences from a deeply personal place." He continued, "Some of it fictitious and some of it not fictional, but it's all been stuff we've dealt with in our lives."

After selling millions of records, interacting with countless fans and touring the world, New Found Glory feel a responsibility to their audience to bring something new and fresh to the table with every single release. "The goal for the new record was to make it sound really authentic and natural and not filled in," Gilbert says. "It was trying to make the biggest sounding record stripped down as four people."

New Found Glory is Jordan Pundik (lead vocals), Chad Gilbert (lead guitar,), Ian Grushka (bass guitar) and Cyrus Bolooki (drums).

BIG BLACK CLOUD: Invisible Oranges Broadcasting Entire Lessons In Fuck You 2 EP; West Coast Tour Begins This Week

The Eolian Empire today bruises the rock world's ego with the unfurling of Lessons In Fuck You 2, the newest collection of cranked, harmful songs of non-praise yielded by Portland, Oregon's furious sci-fi punks, BIG BLACK CLOUD.

With a diverse assortment of noise and punk influences colliding head-on, the explosive Lessons In Fuck You 2 recalls elements of the Dead Kennedys, Circus Lupus, Cows, Alice Donut, Nation of Ulysses and the like. With BIG BLACK CLOUD's unhinged and manic delivery, the middle-finger-heavy vibes recorded and mixed by Andrew Grosse of Caravan Recording (Drunk Dad, Tyrants, Tiny Knives) and captured on this new EP are illustrated by Invisible Oranges' raging review of the album: "Arab On Radar raised on the Cramps... No, wait, a rediscovered cover of 'Stranded in the Jungle' by no-wave destroyers... Waaaaaait. A PCP dance party playing Pink Floyd's 'One of These Days' mashed-up with Pere Ubu... or the Ventures... or the Locust? Huh." Exactly.

Tap into BIG BLACK CLOUD's insensitive teachings at THIS LOCATION.

Lessons In Fuck You 2 will see parole on August 5th, a cooperative release between Portland's heavy-vibing DIY label Eolian Empire and the band's own Stankhouse Records. In conjunction with this malfunction, BIG BLACK CLOUD's eight-city run throughout California begins this week, kicking off on Thursday, August 7th and running through the 15th. Additional tour dates will be announced in the weeks following the tour.

Preorders for the cassette are available HERE and the digital version HERE.

BIG BLACK CLOUD Live:
8/07/2014 3rd Space - Davis, CA
8/08/2014 Telegraph Beach - Oakland, CA
8/09/2014 Industrial Estate - Pasadena, CA
8/10/2014 Tower Bar - San Diego, CA
8/11/2014 Pehrspace - Los Angeles, CA
8/12/2014 The Continental Room - Fullerton, CA
8/13/2014 The Knockout - San Francisco, CA
8/15/2014 The Mall - Stockton, CA

Lessons In Fuck You 2 was borne of demo sessions for the next BIG BLACK CLOUD LP, the record capturing the band in its own anxiety-fueled element. The recordings, done on location with a mobile unit in the underground lair of the The Fancy Fox, gave the ever-prolific trio a chance to work through a host of new and old ideas. Whether due to the (dis)comfort of their own space, nothing-to-lose abandon, or present states-of-mind, Lessons In Fuck You 2 finds the band in top form: frantic, pissed-off, and sinister as they further explore their own dark territory with off-balance grooves, instrumental street-race sex jams, and wild freakouts, jagged guitar and cracking drums glued together with rubbery bass overlain with can-you-hear-me-now yells.

"...a great collection of looser off-hand bits and instrumental excursions, all loud and mad and splattery, in the finest BIG BLACK CLOUD tradition." - The Portland Mercury

"...these outergalactic space punks are bringing the noise to the vacuum of your mind!" - Cvlt Nation

San Francisco's Mosaics announce debut LP for an October release

San Francisco's Mosaics announces debut LP,
Of Colors, for an October release!

"Following in the footsteps of alt-J, Mosaics maybe the next surprise hitmakers. Just remember where you heard them first." - Surviving The Golden Age

Combining the songwriting strengths of alt-J and the production agility of Four Tet and Apparat, Mosaics are a San Francisco trio making music for the modern world in all its jittery, glittering glory. With unconventional guitar lines, overlapping samples, and intricate production, they marry artistry and accessibility to create a sound that comes across like an old friend after a long journey- transformed entirely, but warmly familiar. Having already received high praise from Magnetic Magazine and Indie Rock Cafe and a commercial spotlight for Lumosity, they are quickly becoming recognized as a force to be reckoned with.

While studying classical music together at Loyola Marymount University, guitarist Devon Kelts and producer Tyler Hill developed a strong friendship and a vibrant musical chemistry. After learning that the classical world was not for them, they pulled up the stakes and moved to San Francisco, where they soon started Mosaics. With one self-produced EP under their belt, the pair picked up Grady Lee, a vocalist and guitarist hailing from Orlando, Florida. Together, they finished their upcoming LP Of Colors, set for release on October 21st.

The band was formed with the ambition to paint sonic canvases with the mediums of modern technology. By following this principle and folding in organic inspiration, they have crafted their own method of songwriting that, by fully embracing the limitations of “bedroom production,” brings the art form to bold new ground. Naming Michael Hedges, David Bowie, Yeasayer, Moderat, Nine Inch Nails, and Radiohead among their chief influences, Mosaics have an ear to the past, but make music for the here and now.

Praise for Mosaics….

"With a production prowess that even Four Tet could respect, and an overall indie rock sensibility that inspires comparisons to Alt-J and Yeasayer, Mosaics is going places, but on their terms and wherever their creativity will take them. This song fuses classic rock and modern electronic elements effortlessly and to great effect. I am very excited to see what more is in store with the album if this is the first single out the door." - Magnetic Magazine

WISH announces debut album, shares video for new single "Retro Grade"

Toronto psych band WISH are set to release their debut self-titled album on August 26thvia Hand Drawn Dracula. Stream the video for the album's first single "Retro Grade" over at Stereogum, and stream the track on SoundCloud. The album is now available for pre-order.

WISH is a collection of songs spawned from the mind of 23 year old Kyle Connolly. Having accumulated a wealth of material in the past few years while recording and performing in Milk Lines, Breeze, and Beliefs, Kyle assembled a line-up of musicians and began recording several volumes of his own work at Toronto's Candle Recording Studio. Joining Kyle are Peter Gosling (Decades, Lobby) on drums, Emily Bitze (Milk Lines) on bass, and long time friend/musical collaborator Josh Korody (Beliefs, Breeze) on guitar.

WISH was produced, mixed, and mastered by Josh Korody and Connolly. Recorded in just two days, the spontaneous feel and energy of their psychedelic dream pop sound calls to mind Sonic Youth, Lou Reed, Pavement, Neu!, and Meat Puppets. In the past year WISH have also shared the stage and the retro sensibilities of King Khan and The Shrines, Ought, and Crystal Stilts.

HIT SINGLE "COOL KIDS" CONTINUES TO SOAR

After a whirlwind summer as one of the most anticipated and highly-praised acts of Vans Warped Tour, alt-pop band
The LA-based foursome is having a breakout 2014 with the success of their debut album Talking Dreams, featuring hit single "Cool Kids", continuing to propel them into the spotlight. The song is currently #1 in the iTunes Alternative Chart and rapidly climbing Top 40 and Hot AC Radio charts, while the video is approaching 4 million views on YouTube. MTV has taken notice and named Echosmith an "Artist to Watch" for the year, and the band also recently made their late night debut performing "Cool Kids" on Conan.

The Sierota siblings - Jamie (vocals/guitar), Sydney (vocals/keyboard), Noah (vocals/bass), and Graham (drums) - have developed a distinctive melody-minded, New Wave-influenced sound that has earned them rave reviews. Entertainment Weekly declared them "ready to break out" following their performance at SXSW, Seventeen has lauded lead singer Sydney's "stunning voice," and Perez Hilton recently featured the band as a must-listen. Nylon warns, "HAIM might be front and center in terms of the whole 'family band' category, but these sisters better watch out because there's another crew of California siblings about to take over."
