A mix of emotionally-charged & upbeat 60s inspired tracks, NYC’s Lucius released their self-titled debut EP showcasing the band’s versatility and experimental nature. Today, they unveil the cinematic video for album track “Turn It Around” a bold track with commanding vocals, dance-worthy rhythms, and an addictive melody. Produced by Erica Harsch, directed by Matthew Pizzano and featuring actress Auden Thornton (Pan Am, Arlington Road), check out the “Turn It Around” video where it premiered with Paste Magazine today or HERE & we encourage you to post & share!

Members Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe’s commanding vocals intertwine, echo, and play off one another above a foundation of lush yet danceable instrumentation performed alongside bandmates Danny Molad, Peter Lalish and Andrew Burri. Soaring vocals burst over powerful layers of guitar and synth on opener “Don’t Just Sit There”. Heartfelt vocals take center stage on track “Go Home” while “Genevieve” closes out the EP with an emphasis on elaborate percussion and an infectious rhythm.

Lucius’ self-titled EP was produced by Tony Berg (Beck, Aimee Mann), Steve Wall (Meshell Ndegeocello), and band member Dan Molad (Elizabeth & The Catapult, Here We Go Magic) and has received praise from Seventeen Magazine to NPR. With a live show that bursts with energy from beginning to end, Lucius will join rising stars Milo Greene on the road this fall and play select dates with JD McPherson. Stay tuned for more from Lucius, and be sure to catch them when they come to your city!
