MATT AND KIM ‘LIGHTNING’ OUT TODAY + ALBUM STREAM & NEW VIDEOS

Matt and Kim are excited to release their highly anticipated 4th full-length album, Lightning, today via FADER Label. Entertainment Weekly’s current issue features Matt and Kim in The Must List, praising Lightning as an “infectious collection of good-times party rock, powered by stripped-down synths, booming percussion, and chant-along choruses”. Bust calls Lightning “an upbeat, heart attack-paced record,” and TheSilverTongue says Lightning “finds the pair firing on all cylinders to do all the things that have made them a fan favorite since their eponymous 2006 debut.”  Listen for yourself by heading over to the band’s site where Lightning is streaming in its entirety all week - http://mattandkimmusic.com/?p=3199. Or stream the album via the band’s YouTube playlist, featuring 8 brand-new, animated lyric videos for every track on the album.

Last night, the indie dance duo performed the album single “Let’s Go” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.  Watch it here: http://theaudioperv.com/2012/10/02/matt-and-kim-lets-go-101-fallon/

Also this week, Matt and Kim take their extraordinary live show on the road for a massive headlining tour of North America. There will be plenty to dance to and shout along with when the latest songs, as well familiar crowd favorites, are brought to life in an all-new stage show.  The duo‘s performance at this summer’s Catalpa Fest left the crowd reeling.  The Village Voice reported that Matt and Kim “performed exuberant acrobatics that left the crowd whooping, cheering and trying desperately to catch up through the power of stomp-and-shout dancing.”  ArtsRiot says, “There is nothing but positive things to say about their live shows. Just to sum it up: fun, energetic, dance party… If you have seen them, well, I don’t even need to convince you why you should see them again.”
