New York’s band MEN, with JD Samson, Michael O’Neill and a collective of collaborators, release a new video for the song “Let Them Out Or Let Me In” they wrote for in solidarity with Pussy Riot. The video is comprised of Pussy Riot’s by now iconic images of their protests as well as showing the three detained Pussy Riot members, Masha, Nadia and Katja in a cage in court. You can see the video HERE, directed by Tyler Jensen.

Today Monday October 1st is a Global Day of Action!, with marches and rallies in over 38 cities across the globe. Free Pussy Riot encourages any artists / activists to join in solidarity with the three detained women, Maria Alekhina, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Ekaterina Samucevich of Pussy Riot. Please check in at www.freepussyriot.org for more information.

Today’s scheduled court appeal has been postponed till October 10th 11am local time (3am EST / 12pm PST) at Moscow’s City Court. This may be the last chance for the Russian judicial system to free the jailed members of Pussy Riot. After this, the women are expected to be sent to three different penal detention centers. Follow the live court coverage HERE.

MEN’s JD Samson has been an active member and spokesperson of the Free Pussy Riot movement for a while now. Besides contributing to the ebook “PUSSY RIOT! A Punk Prayer for Freedom”, which is available via Feminist Press, she organized a Public Reading on August 16th,  the eve of the trial’s verdict The Breslin’s Liberty Hall at Ace Hotel in New York. On that eve, Pussy Riot's inspirational court room statements were read by supporters of the Free Pussy Riot movement, including Chloe Sevigny, Eileen Myles, Karen Finley, Johanna Fateman, Mx Justin Vivian Bond. The Public Reading event was co-sponsored by Amnesty International.

JD Samson was interviewed by Democracy Now!’s Amy Goodman HERE on the morning of the Pussy Riot verdict on August 17th.

MEN is a Brooklyn-based band and art/performance collective led by LE TIGRE’s JD Samson and Michael O’Neill. Their music speaks of issues such as wartime economies, sexual compromise, and the demand for liberties through lyrical content and an inventive, high-energy stage show. MEN put out their debut record, Talk About Body in 2011 and released their EP NEXT earlier this year. They are currently recording their follow-up album for release in 2013.
