Free Energy will release their highly anticipated sophomore album, Lovesign, January 15, 2013 via their own Free People Records. Known for their 70s flecked bangers, epic guitar riffs, and just the right amount of cowbell, the album was produced by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Cyndi Lauper). The band shared an early taste of the new album with “Electric Fever” a few months back and today have released a new album track single, “Dance All Night.”  Download the “Dance All Night” free MP3 where it premiered with Pitchfork or HERE and check out a fun album teaser video here.

Backscratcher” is a party song bursting with layered guitar and signature cowbell. Title track “Lovesign” is a hopeful song complete with dirty guitar & explosive choruses while love-sick rock ballad “Hey Tonight” slowly builds to a climax. Lead by handclaps and a catchy guitar line, “Girls Want Rock” is an anthemic track designed to make you move.

Dominating any room with their energized performance and sincere crowd connection, the band has toured with everyone from Titus Andronicus to Weezer. Free Energy will play three shows at CMJ this month – don’t miss what Rolling Stone, Spin, and Alternative Press have declared to be one of the most exciting bands live!
