The Dead Daisies Embark on Fall UK Tour -- "Lock 'N' Load (feat. Slash) #1 at Planet Rock Radio

THE DEAD DAISIES EMBARK ON FALL UK TOUR

"LOCK 'N' LOAD (feat. Slash)" #1 AT PLANET ROCK RADIO

SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM OUT NOW ON CAROLINE/UNIVERSAL

The Dead Daisies released their self-titled debut in the US and Canada this year through Caroline/Universal and spent the summer on the Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival with Alice In Chains, Jane’s Addiction, Coheed and Cambria and Circa Survive.

The group heads to the UK this month to play 18 dates as Special Guests of Black Star Riders and will also be headlining their first ever UK show at the prestigious Underworld rock club in Camden on Nov 20th. The Dead Daisies comes out today in the UK.

Formed around the nucleus of Australians Jon Stevens (Noiseworks/INXS) and David Lowy (Red Phoenix/Mink), the powerful musical collective is completed by a line-up that speaks volumes. They include, Charley Drayton (The X-pensive Winos/The Cult),Richard Fortus (Guns ‘N’ Roses/Thin Lizzy), Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones) and Dizzy Reed (Guns ‘N’ Roses).

Lead guitarist and Thin Lizzy alum Fortus said this about the forthcoming tour, “I’m really looking forward to touring with my old band mates in the Black Star Riders. Can’t wait to show them up every night!”

On embarking to the UK, lead singer Jon Stevens perhaps sums it up best, “What a way to finish off the year! The Dead Daisies first tour through the UK with Black Star Riders is going to be one hell of a rocking tour.”

The Dead Daisies' first single “Lock ’N’ Load”, a new track co-written by and featuring legendary guitarist Slash received airplay on radio networks across the US including national airplay on SiriusXM satellite radio, both Alice Cooper's and Nikki Sixx'spopular syndicated radio programs and was named Rolling Stone's Daily Download.
The single is already storming the UK radio airwaves landing at number one on the Planet Rock airplay chart and placing on Team Rock, Kerrang Radio and the nations largest station BBC Radio 2. In addition to radio, “Lock ‘N’ Load” can be heard throughout English football stadiums and even received in stadium play to a sold out 80,000 plus crowd at Wembley Stadium for the NFL's match between the San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars on the 27th of October in London.
In advance of the tour, The Dead Daisies will be heavily featured in the November issue of Britain's influential Classic Rock Magazine, who is giving away the album for free inside the two-page print spread in this month's addition.

The Dead Daisies sound is created around the tracks written by Stevens & Lowy which is based on the music they both love – classic late ‘70s early ‘80s hard rock, in that soulful Bad Company meets Foreigner via The Faces kind of vibe – big choruses, powerful melodies, and strong hooks. Recorded with LA-based engineer, producer and multi-instrumentalist John Fields, The Dead Daises finished recording their debut album in just two intensely creative weeks.

Jon Stevens has also contributed the title track; “Fly”, to the animated Disney movie Planes released this summer.

The second single from The Dead Daisies, "Washington", is going for adds at rock radio now.
