AFTER THE SMOKE SHARE "WALLSTREET" VIDEO
MICROWAVES MIXTAPE OUT 12/4 VIA EKOMS

The first words uttered on After The Smoke’s Microwaves are “follow me down.” With that, the project takes every contradictory turn imaginable. It is both glorious and humble, nostalgic and forward, crude and insightful. Microwaves was a project birthed in a haze. Front man Rob Coin (Whuzi) and producers Joao Gonzalez (Soft Glas) and Day G created the project in order to invite the listener to a place they knew all too well: The depths of their artistic imagination. Combining elements of psychedelic rock and electronic Hip Hop, After The Smoke aims to take the listener on a voyage through a room drowned in fog, sound, and lovesick souls. Noisey has shared the self-directed video for "Wallstreet", which "finds him trapped inside a TV, then roaming the very Wall Street for which this jam is presumably named. His hair defies all conventions of human logic in a good way, and beneath the chill lies an undercurrent of melancholy."

ABOUT AFTER THE SMOKE:
Behind a glass of bourbon whiskey and tinted shades is an artists that spends most of his nights writing dark romantic ballads about past girlfriends and future exes. After The Smoke is the hazy recording and performing moniker for jamaican born, Tallahassee based artist Rob Coin. Sonically, After The Smoke is an experimentalist that effortless jumps between hip hop, electronic and p-funk to take his lovesick listeners on a journey. Working with in house producers, Soft Glas and Day G, After The Smoke is raising above the noise and delivering a sound that has been missing from artist today.
