Denver-based Tennis will kick off their summer U.S. tour with a hometown show on June 16 at The Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder. The band will tour with Sharon Van Etten while playing select solo dates including Outside Lands, The El Rey Theater in Los Angeles and a performance at The Pygmalion Festival. Since the release of their sophomore album Young and Old, the band has performed on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Last Call with Carson Daly”. Young and Old, out now on Fat Possum Records, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseeker Chart#1 on CMJ Top 200, where it remained for three weeks in a row and debuted on Soundscans “New Artist Chart” at #1 remaining there for nine consecutive weeks.  The band recently performed on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” on May 23. Their music has been featured in television programs “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Revenge” and “The Secret Circle” and included in Tory Burch and Marc Jacobs online promotions.

For their new album guitarist Patrick Riley, vocalist Aliana Moore and drummer James Barone headed to Nashville to work with The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney. Carney noted  “I am really proud to say I worked on the new Tennis album. I think they are a really talented band, and it’s exciting to work with a band whose trying to move forward. Patrick, Alaina and James have great ideas—everything really comes together on this record.”
