MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE DISBAND

My Chemical Romance announced today that they are disbanding. A message from the band posted on www.mychemicalromance.com states:

"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would.  We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible.  We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end.  Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure."

DANNY AVILA – MIAMI MUSIC WEEK & SPRING BREAK, MARCH 2013

Capping off an incredible spring season on the road, Danny Avila announces his final run of dates for March 2013, with not one but two massive Ultra Music Festival performances – including his official UMF Main Stage debut this Sunday which should prove to be an absolutely electric affair!

LISTEN TO DANNY AVILA'S ULTRA WEEKEND 1 SET HERE FOR A TASTER OF WHAT'S TO COME AT ULTRA WEEKEND 2!!! https://soundcloud.com/dannyavila/danny-avila-ultra-music

Danny heads back to the Americas barely giving himself enough time to take a breath after the whirlwind success of the recent Generation Wild Tour. The mammoth three week electronic extravaganza saw him hit the road with Deniz Koyu, dBerrie and Mikael Weermets plus celebrity bad boy photographer Kirillwashere – including a huge date that blew the doors off NYC’s iconic Webster Hall.

Kicking things off at Puerto Valleta’s Strana in Mexico for Spring Break, Danny then travelled up to Schlitterbahn Waterpark on South Padre Island in the States before hitting Miami to make the first of his two UMF sets. After stopping by the Elektro Magazine Freshmen ’13 Pool Party at the National Hotel, it was a short air ride to the Inception Festival in Cancun and then straight back to hit the Generation Wild Tour at SL Southbeach. Coming up, the No Sugar Added Festival at Nikki Beach, the Ibiza Collective Pool Party at the Delano and finally his hotly-anticipated Main Stage appearance at UMF round a truly spectacular Miami 2013 off.

Fans everywhere will be able to catch up with all the action in coming weeks when Danny launches DANNY AVILA TV on his YouTube channel www.youtube.com/dannyavilalive. Already picked as one of the top 10 artists at this year’s Ultra by dance bible Dancing Astronaut and style site Elite Daily, Danny’s star continues to climb on the back of electric live performances, his bi-weekly Ready To Jump radio show on SiriusXM and other stations worldwide and music releases including his original Big Beat production ‘Breaking Your Fall’ and the Skylar Grey ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ remix released through Interscope.  With new music in the pipeline including a forthcoming mix compilation for Ministry of Sound, and a slew of huge dates around the world already confirmed for summer 2013, the future looks increasingly bright for Avila.

TRICKY ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM FALSE IDOLS VIA PITCHFORK

SHARES NEW TRACK "NOTHING'S CHANGED"
ALBUM DUE MAY 28TH VIA TRICKY'S NEW LABEL FALSE IDOLS

MP3: "Nothing's Changed" -
http://soundcloud.com/k7-records/tricky-nothings-changed-1

Tricky is back. Back with a new studio album, False Idols, and his own label (also bearing the False Idols name), but also back in a personal sense. "I was lost for ages," he says. "I was trying to prove something to people, trying to do something to please other people and also myself at the same time, which is never going to work. To be honest with you, I've been floating around since Chris Blackwell and Island. My last two albums, I thought they were good, but I realize now they weren't. This album is about me finding myself again."

Adrian Thaws is, perhaps, being a bit hard on himself. However, there is no doubt that False Idols stands as his most accomplished album since his earliest works. It opens with a cover of a Patti Smith song, "Somebody's Sins," which sees Tricky and vocalist Fran Belmonte whispering "Jesus died for somebody's sins, but not mine" over a sparse groaning bass. The lead single "Parenthesis," which features a vocals from Peter Silberman of The Antlers, has more rhythmic grunt, which gives a different dimension to the dark gothic atmosphere that pervades the record. No-one does this kind of thing better.

The spirit of Tricky's '90s output looms large over False Idols. There are times when his entire career has seemed like a stubborn refusal to be defined by its success or sound. He has finally come to terms with it, even learned to embrace it. The light bulb moment came when he was sending demos to a friend. "All the songs which were easy for me to write, which I wrote in two hours, he sent me a message saying, 'This is why I loved you in the beginning.' The stuff that I'd thought about more, that stuff he was like, 'It's OK, yeah.' So then I knew. It brought me back to my natural instincts."

The resemblance to Maxinquaye is undeniable, though the material on False Idols is gentler; more mature. "Of all my records, the majority of people are into Maxinequaye," says Tricky. "That's because it was a time and a place. Maxinquaye was a part of their life. Some people say it was the soundtrack to their youth. You can't challenge that. But musically this is a better album." He pauses before adding. "Of course I know that people might not agree with that." Let's just say it's a stunning return to form and leave it at that.

Many of the songs on False Idols feature artists signed to Tricky's new label, including 24-year Londoner Francesca Belmonte and Fifi Rong. The album also includes collaborations with Nigeria's new global star Nneka, the aforementioned Peter Silberman. In the months before the album's release, False Idols will also release two EPs showcasing the label's roster on new non-album material produced by Tricky.

Why the name False Idols? "Because there's so much bollocks going on at the moment mate," Tricky fires back. "People follow celebrities and read every little thing they do. It's living vicariously through someone else. Get your own life. All this stuff is false idols. That's what helps keep the status quo." As to the label's mission, Tricky puts it thusly: "I signed to Island because of the artists and some of the stuff they've done-Bob Marley, Tom Waits. Who could I sign to now? Am I going to sign to a label because they've got Lady Gaga? I don't want to be part of that bollocks music industry. I'm trying to bring that Island kind of thing back. Obviously False Idols is never going to be an Island Records, but it's my way of trying to keep that part of the music industry going."

This commitment to the survival of artistry in new music seen Tricky collaborating with young musicians from Creep to Maya Jane Coles, popping up on Zebra Katz underground smash "Ima Read" with Gangster Boo and remixing "Crest" by Antlers.

"This new album I'll stand behind every track," Tricky says. "I don't care whether people like it. I'm doing what I want to do, which is what I did with my first record. That's what made me who I was in the beginning. If people don't like it, it don't matter to me because I'm back where I was."

DAVEY SUICIDE set to Tour North America with ORGY

First Ever Headline Dates Confirmed

As January comes to an end, coupled with the ground swell of 2012 it is now safe to declare 2013 the "The Year of Suicide". In support of his latest EP and forthcoming full length album, DAVEY SUICIDE has confirmed a host of North American tour dates beginning this February. The opening five dates of the run, February 23rd - 26th are the first ever headline shows for SUICIDE.

"The Northwest is a fitting way to kick off this year for us. Some of our craziest shows of 2012 were in Seattle, Portland Idaho Falls and Spokane."

Following the headline dates DAVEY SUICIDE will hit the road in support of death pop rockers Orgy and Vampires Everywhere. The shows span the U.S. beginning on March 1st and are slated to run through April 15th. The first batch of dates have been released with additional dates to be announced in the upcoming days. SUICIDE cannot wait to hit the road with Orgy:

"Growing up, there was Korn, Deftones and Orgy at the forefront of the nu-metal genre. We're excited to reacquaint that world with them and see our Suicide Nation."

Life on the road can be tough and often expensive. To help offset these costs, DAVEY SUICIDE has launched a Kickstarer campaign. Donations to this campaign offer various perks based on the different donation amounts. Some of the one of a kind and amazing perks that are being offered include: custom vests, pants, gloves, hand sewn Cross Your Heart phone cases, memorabilia from video shoots, limited edition signed & numbered posters & prints, phone calls from the band, Skype bass lessons, stage worn shirts, a personal tattoo session with DAVEY, and an exclusive private acoustic performance at your house. Be sure to visit http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/daveysuicide/kickstart-our-3?ref=email and support the band that puts the art back into the artist.

DAVEY SUICIDE is ready to set the world ablaze. The Los Angeles insurgent injects gutter grit back into rock 'n' roll, where it has been far too long since a rebel raged through town.

As a kid, he always knew the "safe" life wasn't for him. In order to tune out the fights of a broken home and the pressures of church, he'd crank Guns N' Roses, Pantera, and Metallica on his stereo and play guitar as loud as his small Peavey amp would allow.

Music kept him away from drugs and other trouble, and his three patron saints became Axl Rose, Marilyn Manson, and Eminem. Beyond adorning his arm within a tattoo tapestry, he learned one important thing from these icons that eventually inspired him to move from the East Coast to Hollywood.

"It's important to pave your own road," declares Suicide. "I hit a ceiling. I had some opportunities that slipped away, and I woke up one day with the idea of 'DAVEY SUICIDE'. I needed a constant reminder that we're all in the driver's seat. If I give up on myself, shit's not going to go the way I want it to. I'd rather live by my rules than feel like I'm stuck inside a box. It's about believing in yourself. Put your trust in SUICIDE."

COMBICHRIST presents "No Redemption", soundtrack to "DmC Devil May Cry" videogame

“As an avid gamer myself I was honored to be asked to work on this project,” says COMBICHRIST mastermind Andy LaPlegua, regarding his latest project No Redemption, his soundtrack to the Capcom videogame DmC Devil May Cry. “I had a lot of fun digging myself into Dante’s psyche in order to create music to match the battle scenes and am equally as excited to license existing Combichrist music.” Not quite the follow-up to 2010’s Making Monsters nor far removed either, No Redemption is a brutal and unrelenting musical excursion into a nightmarish videogame world. It explores the dynamic and violent realm, seen through the eyes of DmC’s Dante, a young man who has no respect for authority or society in general.

Culled from a collection of 27 new tracks Andy wrote specifically for the game, the 13 tracks that make up No Redemption are an apocalyptic fusion of Industrial, Electro and Metalcore – unyielding yet cinematic and stunning. From the breakneck kickoff of “Age of Mutation” to the moody and atmospheric “Feed the Fire” to the machine gun assault of “How Old Is Your Soul”, No Redemption isn’t for the squeamish. Stereoboard accurately described the album as “a massive sonic onslaught of aggressive, electronic walls of sound, spiced up with hefty Metalcore elements that complements the game’s battle scenes perfectly.”

In addition to the 27 new tracks Andy wrote, Capcom also licensed ten tracks from Combichrist's past including "Sent To Destroy" (from 2009's Today We Are All Demons), "Get Your Body Beat" (from 2007's What The F*ck Is Wrong With You People) and "Throat Full Of Glass" (from 2010's Making Monsters). Out Of Line has released a limited edition 2-CD digipak of No Redemption that is exclusively available in Europe and via combichrist.com that includes the 13 No Redemption tracks and the ten licensed tracks.

Starting off in the dark metal and hardcore soul of Norway, Andy LaPlegua led a few seminal bands in the Norwegian underground (including Fleshfire and Lash Out) before fusing electronics and dance beats and forming Combichrist in 2003 and releasing their incredibly well-respected EBM/Industrial debut The Joy of Gunz. The following four albums witnessed the band's evolution of their self-described "techno body music", which was described as "a journey through hell and high water, through the eyes of a serial killer, sex, violence and plenty of Jack Daniels on ice."

No Redemption will be released in the U.S. on February 5, 2013 by Out Of Line for the world outside of Japan (January 25, 2013 for Europe) and by Columbia/Nippon for Japan (February 20, 2013). The official as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2010’s Making Monsters is scheduled for release later this year.
