AMERICAN HERITAGE: Trailer For Sixth And Final Album Issued

As the sixth and final album from Chicago's infamous AMERICAN HERITAGE, entitled Prolapse nears release this Fall via Solar Flare Records, an official trailer for the release including the newly-released cover art by A.W. Sommers and more has been issued.

AMERICAN HERITAGE raided SOMA Studios in March of this year to record Prolapse with producer Sanford Parker, with additional recording by Mike Lust (Tight Phantomz, Football) and Che Arthur (Pink Avalanche). Parker also supplies keyboards on one of the tracks and then handled mixing duties at home. Other guests include Jeffrey Lohrber (Enabler, Today is the Day), and Mike Lust supplying additional vocals and guitars. Prolapse unloads thirty-three minutes of the most deadly, caustic and
diverse AMERICAN HERITAGE material to date and closes out paying homage to the Descendants, Black Flag and Girls Against Boys, covering a tune from each.

France's Solar Flare Records will release Prolapse on digital, CD and LP platforms on November 24th. Check out the official album trailerHERE.

Prolapse Track Listing:
1. Eastward Cast the Entrails
2. Anxious Bedwetter
3. Obliviocrity
4. Constant and Consuming Fear of Death and Dying
5. Mask Of Lies
6. Blackbird
7. Hürtin' Crüe [Descendents Cover]
8. Thirsty and Miserable [Blag Flag Cover]
9. Bulletproof Cupid [Girls Against Boys Cover]

Stand by for audio samples and more from Prolapse to be released in the coming days. In the meantime, check out the AMERICAN HERITAGE back-catalog at their Bandcamp page HERE.

Since 1996, AMERICAN HERITAGE has relentlessly dispatched their ripping concoction of technical, mangled metal/hardcore backed with their cynical, lowbrow music and human relations, both on record and on the stage. Their self-titled 1998 debut EP released on The Rosewood Union was chased by the full-length, Why Everyone Gets Cancer, released in 1999 on the same label, and their Through The Age Of Quarrel And Into The Era Of Putting Up With It album released in 2001 by Troubleman Unlimited, and then the Bipolar album through Escape Artist in 2004. Two subsequent albums on Translation Loss followed -- 2006's Millenarian and 2011's Sedentary, the latter released in Europe via Solar Flare Records -- among EPs on Class-B Records, Delboy Records and more including split 7" releases with Thee Plague Of Gentlemen, Mastodon and others. Their most recent Sedentary album, recorded while the lineup was void of a full-time bassist, included guest contributions on each track, involving their partners in crime, collectively hailing from Sulaco, Murder Construct, Exhumed, D.I.S., Fight Amp, Nachtmystium, Buried At Sea, Mastodon, Primate, Lioness, Sweet Cobra, Dark Fog, Plague Bringer, Black Cobra, The Swan King, Beak, Surachai and others. On the road, AMERICAN HERITAGE has toured and performed alongside the likes of Baroness, Black Cobra, Floor, Mastodon, Pelican, Burnt By The Sun, Misery Index, Coliseum, Dysrhythmia, Saviours, Origin and countless others.

After the recording of Prolapse, core member Adam Norden left the band, and after eighteen years of abuse and racket, this move makes it foreseeable that this will be the final album from AMERICAN HERITAGE.

PIG HEART TRANSPLANT: New Works From Iron Lung Side Venture Now Playing; No-Wave Industrial/Noise Apocalypse-Ready Soundtrack Out Now On 20 Buck Spin

Ignore all false representations of truly apocalyptic and fully predatory soundtrack-style audio behind, and succumb to the engulfing For Mass Consumption, the second full-length documentation of the recorded dementia of Iron Lung's Jon Kortland's solo outing, PIG HEART TRANSPLANT.

For Mass Consumption dispatches a distressing twenty-eight tracks of no-wave industrial mayhem in under twenty-one minutes, each track approximately forty-four seconds long and named with a four-letter word, structured in a perfectly palatable way for optimum group adoption and mindless adherence to common purpose. One might recognize the pulverizing brutality of early Swans, the pulsing throb of Brighter Death Now and IRM or even Robert McNaugton's soundtrack work for Henry: Portrait Of Serial Killer. This is 1984.

For Mass Consumption is appropriately living up to its name, now available for streaming via 20 Buck Spin RIGHT HERE.

For Mass Consumption is out now in North America on compact disc and digital manipulations via 20 Buck Spin, and Europe will fall to the same fate this Monday September 8th. Order the digital HERE and the CD HERE. Vinyl and cassette editions will follow via Iron Lung Records shortly after.

While Kortland's main focus is splitting duties in surgical powerviolence duo, Iron Lung, with PIG HEART TRANSPLANT the artist explores an entirely different dimension of musical terror. Here he delivers both a vicious beating and violent outcome, however the operating methodology is an entirely different animal; slow, churning, industrial, electronic, painfully percussive, a bureaucratic nightmare of State Power with gears grinding the individual into a hallow shell, perfectly molded into one of Them. Electronic manipulation, no-wave guitar noise, abrasive hammering and eerie synthetic ambiance imbue the listener with the seedy malaise of manipulation on a societal scale.

EMPRESS AD Release Debut Album TODAY!

“Few bands can match Empress AD’s seamless balance of hooks and heaviness, atmosphere and aggression. Definitely a Band to Watch.” - REVOLVER
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, NY (September 2, 2014) British prog-metal outfit EMPRESS AD are proud to release their debut ‘Still Life Moving Fast’ today via a unique partnership between The End Records/ADA and Roadrunner Records, CLICK HERE to download the album on iTunes. The album has been gaining momentum, debuting #1 on CMJ and is quickly becoming a favorite of outlets such as Loudwire, Alternative Press, Revolver, New Noise Magazine, Outburn and more!
"For me, 'Still Life Moving Fast' captures everything we're about as a band. Every ounce of our vision, passion and creativity had been used when writing and recording the record, and it's something we're really proud of. Each song is it's own entity, but when they're all put together on the record, it makes something that's even bigger and more important than any of us could of realised." - Ollie Loring
Having taken time to carefully hone their style of the music they love, EMPRESS AD, formed in 2011 by brothers Ollie (guitar and vocals) and Alex Loring (bass), together with Edd Unwin (drums) and Tom Meadon (guitar), have written an arsenal of songs that veer from an expansive, progressive sound to an aggressive, controlled roar. Citing their influences as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, the Berkshire four piece locked themselves away in a UK studio with experienced New York-based producer, Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Pelican, Old Man Gloom) to craft their debut. Their method of recording the music live, quickly, and as organically as possible has led to noticeable nuances within the album - details for the listener to pick up on after repeated plays - but, more importantly, it has led to the kind of natural feel to the music that cannot be replicated with a couple of extra weeks tweaking behind the scenes.
The result is a debut album for the ages. With lyrics that focus upon suggestive metaphors for the intangible minutiae of everyday life rather than relationships and lost love, this is a band of musicians as focused upon grooving together as one as they are on their songwriting and being able to relate to fans on an emotional level. Soothing and utterly crushing in turn, EMPRESS AD’s music juxtaposes gentle harmonies with frantic ferocity; relaxed strumming followed by thrash beats, time signature changes and other meanderings that you’ll just have to find out about for yourself.
The album’s artwork (below) was created by San Francisco artist Seth Curcio.
Comprised of ten songs, the album’s track listing is:
    01 Still Life Moving Fast
    02 Invisible Conductor
    03 Delve Into The Retrospect
    04 Deeper In Disguise
05 From Where I Cannot Reach
    06 On My Return
    07 Blurred Perception
    08 Haunted By Time
    09 Did We See
    10 Consumed

Ejecta changing name due to lawsuit, lets fans decide new name via online contest

Playing GvsB IV next week
Dominae out now on Driftless Recordings

Dear adored fans,

The folks at Ejecta were recently contacted by a DJ operating under the moniker 'ejeca' in regards to our coincidentally similar name in the form of a Cease and Desist.

While we're not sure what 'ejeca' means, Ejecta is a term in volcanology referring to the sediment which settles to the ocean floor after an eruption or seismic shift. Ejecta singularly describes the mythology of our character and mascot who finds herself in a constant state of rebirth, like our beautiful planet earth.

She's really enjoyed responding to the six letter sound of this word over the past few years but now she needs your help. Can you give her a new name?
We're proposing a contest in which you add to her name. The addition can be purely aesthetic, conceptual or both! The winner will receive copies of every Ejecta release past present and future, access to live shows, merchandise, breakfast in bed, sex, first-born-sons and possibly more!

Please send your ideas to us via Facebook or Twitter.

With love and undying, yet ever changing affection,
Ejecta

“What fool said there are no second acts in American lives? FRIGHTWIG, the great femme-psych band of the pre-grunge, pre-grrrl riots, are back with their wits, talons, and riffs as sharp as ever, ready to shred the lies and liars of the, sadly, still-raging war on women.”-- Evelyn McDonnell, Write and Author of Queens of Noise: The Real Story of the Runaways

“More valid in today's world than the one in which they created all things riot... FRIGHTWIG are a wallop of power and love and smarts and sexy, all in the way only a city like San Francisco can deliver....”

-- Lynn Perko-Truell, Imperial Teen, Sister Double Happiness, Dicks

“Until I saw a picture of FRIGHTWIG, I had no idea they were all girls. FRIGHTWIG rocks it hard.”
--Buzz, The Melvin’s

"I remember those girls when they were all kids, they never did grow up, they just look older, but they still like their music and so do I.”
-- Ted Falconi, Flipper

FRIGHTWIG has widely been credited as one of the most original, intense and fearless feminist bands by musicians, critics and fans alike.

After taking a hiatus from live performance, FRIGHTWIG has now returned with a vengeance to the center stage. Presenting an all-star line-up which features founding members Deanna Mitchell (the Mouthiest Woman Alive) on bass, “they broke the mold” Mia d’Bruzzi on guitar and secret weapon “Saint” Cecilia Kuhn on drums. Frightwig has taken a man into the fold, this is the legendary Eric Drew Feldman who has recorded, performed, produced and toured with Captain Beefheart, Snakefinger, Frank Black, Pere Ubu, PJ Harvey and Knife & Fork amongst others. Frightwig has never sounded better.
